So I'm a little late with the post, but it's better late than never! A few days before Halloween we went to the church party that always includes a Trunk-or-Treat. Only this year it was raining heavily, so they improvised and had the adults line the hallway and overflow instead of the trunks of their cars to hand candy out to the throngs of children who squeezed through with parents.
Pumpkin carving with the kids was a blast! Henry just chilled, but Evalyn really got into it. She was still sqeamish about handling the slimy innards of the pumpkin, but she loved the faces we carved and seeing them all lit up. : ) "Daddy's pumkin's smiling at me!" she said upon seeing it lit for the first time.
And finally Trick-or-Treating on our street. All 7 of the houses that had their lights on. But that's about right for two kids under 3! Henry would've been fine after one house, but Evalyn was raring to go. She was most excited about the apple from our neighbor across the street who saved one just for her. Since we are the only people on the street with young kids, it's a novelty to have "homegrown" trick-or-treaters!
And of course, here's some photos. : )

That's so funny about her and the apple. I left some comments for you in you album. Almost made me wish I hadn't skipped Halloween (almost!)
Great costumes Holly! It looks like you all had so much fun
thanks. In hindsight, I probably would've done a zip up the front one for Henry, too. It's hard finding a costume that a very active crawler is comfortable in!!
