Evalyn's Cute Sayings

(I realized I never put these cute Evalyn-isms into a post, so I'll call this Dec 5th)

At bedtime we routinely step outside and say goodnight to the moon and stars, or clouds if they're blocking the former. We'd been talking about how the moon looks different and changes. One night as we look out at the moon and she saw it's gibbous state exclaimed: "The moon is going to have a full belly!"


We've been going over the nativity scene and Baby Jesus in the manger, usually surrounded by yellow hay. I was lounging on the couch and invited Evalyn to climb up and sleep with me. She said, "It's my own manger!" while settling in on a yellow blanket in the crook between Mommy's bent legs.
